Terms and Conditions

 Effective as of 08/01/2025
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions between Nocturne Pet Care Co. (“Pet Sitter,” “we,” “our”) and the client (“Pet Owner,” “you,” “your”) for pet care services.

By booking services with Nocturne, you agree to the following terms:

1. Services Provided

We provide pet care services including (but not limited to):

• Dog walking and running
   
• Drop-in visits
   
• Cat sitting
   
• Overnight stays (add-on only)
   
• Pet hikes
   
• Basic manners reinforcement
   

All services are personalized based on your pet’s needs as discussed and confirmed during the booking process.

2. Scheduling & Payment

• Services must be scheduled in advance and are subject to availability.
   
• Payment is due in full by 5pm the day before the service starts.

• Last minute bookings (Bookings scheduled after 5pm the previous day) may be charged a 25% convenience fee, and must be paid before the service starts or it will be considered a cancelation and incur a 50% fee of the total booking cost including the convenience fee.
   
• We currently accept payments via CashApp, and PayPal at this time.
   

3. Cancellation Policy

• Dog walks/drop-ins: Cancel at least 24 hours in advance for no charge.
   
• Overnights or multi-day bookings: Cancel at least 72 hours in advance.
   
• Cancellations after these windows may be subject to a 50% fee.
   

4. Access & Safety

• You agree to provide safe, reliable access to your home and pets.

•  If keys or access codes are not provided or fail to function, resulting in a lockout, the client may be charged a lockout fee and/or responsible for any additional costs incurred (such as a locksmith service).
   
• All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations and in generally good health unless otherwise disclosed.
   
• We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service if a pet poses a safety risk (e.g., aggression, illness, unsafe conditions).
   

5. Emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency, we will:

• Attempt to contact you immediately.
   
• Seek veterinary care using the emergency contact and vet info you provide.
   
• Any veterinary costs incurred are your responsibility.
   

6. Inclement Weather

We will do our best to perform scheduled services safely in all weather. In extreme conditions (heat, snow, storms), walk duration may be shortened or replaced with indoor play for safety. A severe weather surcharge may apply.

7. Liability

We are insured, bonded, and committed to your pet’s well-being. However, we are not liable for:

• Injuries or illnesses that occur prior to or during care due to pre-existing conditions
   
• Damage to property caused by pets
   
• Lost, stolen, or damaged personal property unless due to negligence

• The Pet Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Nocturne Pet Care Co. and its representatives from any and all liability, claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from services provided, except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct.
   

8. Media Release (Optional)

We love to share sweet moments with your pets on social media. We will never share identifiable home or address info. If you’d prefer we don’t post photos of your pet, just let us know.

9. Updates & Changes

You may request changes to your pet’s care instructions at any time. We reserve the right to update this agreement or our pricing with notice.

Acknowledgment

By booking any service with Nocturne Pet Care Co., you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Service Agreement in full.

Signature or written/digital confirmation of a booking implies full acceptance of this Service Agreement. A copy of this agreement will be provided upon request.
